Hunter’s Moon
On a crisp autumn evening, a group of ten friends go off into the woods for what should have been a night of camping and fun… as they get deeper into the forest they quickly discover they are not alone, amongst the brush and leaves something, or someone is hunting them…From the Brilliant minds of director Gage Moreau and producer Jason Rivers comes a new independent horror movie that delves deep into the fear of being lost in the woods and hunted by a vicious creature. A true test of survival instincts, will anyone survive under the Hunter’s moon? The only way to find out is to stay tuned for the announcement of our feature film premiere coming soon to a special New Hampshire theater, and maybe even to a big screen near you..
That being said we are just getting started with the excitement! The cast and crew are working very hard to get the word out and pick just the right venue to host a proper premiere party with live music costumes and more! If you want to know how the story ends then you have to come back and check soon for more information and lots more fun behind the scenes! See you all soon, and be careful when out walking under full moons….
Now, you may be wondering what I have to do with this fanatic project… As some of you may have noticed, I LOVE all things horror, spooky, and scary, perhaps you got that vibe from my work as a photographer over the years. However, I was not behind the camera this time. When i’m not photographing every weird thing that catches my eye I also like work with SFX makeup, prop making, costume design etc. as they all play into my art. When attending the monsta xpo in New Hampshire last year Jason our lovely producer approached me ( after looking over some of my scary bloody clowns ) to see if I would be interested in a job working on SFX makeup for…You guessed it Hunter’s Moon and I of course happily accepted. Over the last few months I have had the pleasure of working with and getting to know the amazing cast and crew who have put their hearts and souls into this film. I spent a few afternoons and one really early morning splattering fake blood, making messy wounds and helping with whatever I could to bring this massive vision to life. While makeup is not something I am typically hired I like to be.."well- rounded” Overall It was a fantastic and exhausting experience that has taught me a new found appreciation for what a massive undertaking creating a movie truly is.
